The Ginger Cat Deli is a family run bakery. We are based in Cullompton, making delicious, rustic food. Everything we do is about big flavours and the best experience for our customers. Food to make people happy.
We are expanding our bakery/wholesale production and are looking for a kitchen porter/assistant to join the team. We are looking for a driven individual who is meticulous about cleaning and wants to join an expanding business with lots of potential for growth and progression.
The job role will include: washing up/cleaning up as chefs work.
Keeping all parts of the kitchen clean at all times, including walk ins, equipment & especially floors & walls.
Final clean down of all rooms at the end of the production day once cooks have gone home.
Recording this on paperwork.
Kitchen prep assistance: weighing ingredients & veg prep. Helping make pasties and sausage rolls.
Our requirements:
- Some fairly heavy lifting involved. Be able to manage large bags of flour etc.
- Driven and proactive. Ability to work with limited supervision
- Invested and striving for excellence in every aspect of their work. Kitchen needs to be spotless
- Eye for detail and accuracy when weighing and mixing ingredients
- Ability to accept feedback and willingness to learn
- Able to work quickly & precisely
- Highly organised and clean working patterns
- Flexibility with hours
- Own transport
